ABOUT THE
INVISIBLE PROJECT

The Invisible Project focuses on the homeless and how they experience social invisibility, which refers to a group of people in society who have been separated or systematically ignored by the majority of the public. As a result, those who are marginalized feel neglected or being invisible in society. I am passionate about discovering solutions to homelessness, since the number of people without shelter is increasing, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jesus teaches us to love our neighbor the way the good Samaritan stopped, helped and sheltered the man in need on the side of the road, while everyone else ignored him as if he were invisible. The homeless are my neighbors and I want to design anything that will bring awareness to homelessness and its causes, and how we as a community can help them instead of treating them as “invisible” people. The Invisible Project is a poster series that depicts the shadows of different types of homeless people in their environment to represent their social invisibility.
